I have been looking for the perfect emerald ring for nearly 20 years. I am grateful for Chatham labs and Jewelry Impressions for my astonishingly beautiful and ethical emerald. While visiting Alaska this past September, I combed every jewelry store in Juneau (the exact same stores that are in the Caribbean) knowing all the time that I was waiting for Chatham to manifest the ring in my head. I was "encouraged" to purchase a Columbian emerald and diamond ring for $4300 on sale from $10,000 because the jewelry store was preparing to move back to St. Thomas. This was a 1 carat emerald with deep and surface inclusions. My Chatham emerald is 3 carats, perfect gem quality, a real emerald in every way and it cost under $1500 dollars and that includes having it sized at a local jewelers.
