Custom Cut Chatham Created Gems Need a unique lab-grown gemstone for your special jewelry masterpiece? We can custom cut any of our regular Chatham-Created Gems in just about any shape and size. We also offer Chatham amethysts, white sapphires and opals as custom cut stones. If you need a shape we don’t currently offer, you may need to provide a cutting diagram for our cutters. All custom cut stones are non-refundable, non-returnable and non-cancellable upon order. Most require a small cutting fee as well. Please note, while we will try our best to match stones to the exact color you’re looking for, our rough material varies in color per batch. So we cannot guarantee an exact match. However, we will do our best to pick the rough we currently have in stock that best matches the color you desire.

Chatham amethysts are real amethysts, grown under controlled conditions. So their color and quality are top-notch! Chatham amethysts rival the finest natural amethysts on the market with their rich purple color and gem-quality clarity. In 2014 Michelle went to Madagascar to learn about the geology and mineralogy of the country. She was excited to visit some of the mining localities she learned about in her studies to be a Graduate Gemologist. However, it wasn't the sparkly colorful gems that caught her eye. Rather, it was the children...the little gems of Madagascar. Michelle founded www.GemsOfMadagascar.org in 2015. She visits Madagascar for about two months each year doing humanitarian projects, including clean water, sanitation, education and hygiene.
